Listening Comprehension
"Party Time!"
Instructor outlined some basic conversation skills to utilize in a party setting where academic and social dimensions overlap. Students acted out a party scene using both social and academic language skills. Students pretended they attended a party with some friends and some people they did not know. They took a minute to discuss their plan with each other, and then acted out the scene in class. Students used more social dimensional language with their friends and their academic dimensional language with individuals they did not know.
